Nothing in the background but Safari can't cope with just two tabs - reloads everytime I switch them. Tried different sites no difference.

Googled it and apparently it's being a major problem since 2012 especially in iPads so why doesn't cat quartering Apple address this bugging issue?

Not fair. Any ideas? Does nerves...

Apple? Hell yeah. All the way.

Apple in 2014 standards?

Trashhhhhhhhhhhhh....

Nothing you can do about it, 1gb of ram is the problem.

Apple couldn't figure that out?

It's 21 century and people use multiple tabs you see...

Shocking.

Spent almost £1.2k on AppStore/iTunes and about £7k on iDevices. This is what I'm getting.

Don't want to think about Android but Apple is pushing buttons here for the past 2 years...

Hey this is Randy from AppleCare. We're sorry to hear about the problems you've been having. Tim (Cook) just wanted me to pass on a message that he's seen your post and he's going to get coding tonight and make sure the problem gets resolved by the morning. In his own words, "If more people would just explain how much money they'd spent on the company we'd get better at getting **** done." So thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Thanks Ramon1990 and God Bless.

Not really. Samsungs and HTCs don't do any better with Android use of ram. Go look at the speed tests done by some website I forget. It shows how reloading doesn't affect workflow on iPhones as much as it does on Android.

I realize that, iOS is very efficient with RAM but 2gb wouldn't hurt.

Well I'm
On a 4S and I tried doing 2 tabs at once.. I found that when u shift 1st time , it reloads, but later on it never reloaded.. I am sure if it was a different website it would reload.. I'll write a bug report and send it..

The iPhone 4s has 512MB of RAM...

My iPhone 6 can handle about 6-8 tabs without refreshing. Having to reload with only two tabs is very abnormal. You should try (in order) rebooting, resetting, or taking it to the Apple Store.

Yup, Apple is Trashhhhhhhhhhhhh

...because your tabs reload.

Welcome to the iPhone dude. It's annoying but not as much as an Android.

This has already been discussed ad nauseam.

It's come down to the argument between more RAM hardware or better software optimization. The fact that it has been fixed since iOS 7 leads me to believe it's a hardware issue.

The reason Apple did not add 2 GB RAM in iPhone 6 is clear that they want to milk the last drop out of this generation's 1 GB. They clearly knew that it is insufficient when making x64 architecture jump but they stuck to it.

Now 2 GB in next years iPhone 6S would be a huge incentive for people to upgrade.

Looks like there may be 2GB of RAM in the upcoming iPad Air 2; the hands-on use will then tell the tale of whether Safari tab reloads are a function of RAM size or not.

^^ lol ^^

Glad I'm on the "S cycle" These new major updates every two years seem to always cause some giant issues.

Thankfully they are going to finally put 2GB in the iPad Air. Love the excuse that it'll drain the battery faster......riiiiighhhhttttt.
