I have been all over Mexico since 1991, and have different regional specialities and variations of national foods like tacos. In Quintana Roo, Mexico tacos come with pineapple chunks and guacamole sauce spiced with hot habanero peppers. In Guadalajara you can get tacos that look like the attachment below and taste better than anything Taco Bell will ever put out.

They look kinda gross... Iono'.....

I used to think that Tacos had a hard shell, but apparently that's wrong, and now I can't tell the difference between Tacos, Burritos and Fajitas.
Tacos are made with ground beef (hard or soft shell)

Fajita use slices of beef or chicken (soft tortilla)

Burritos are like big tubes filled with everything you can imagine...and you typically only eat one in a meal (due to the size) as compared to 2 or 3 or more for the other two (soft tortilla)
