I don't know how well the title explains what I want to do.

I have a long list of routes that I need to learn for delivery.

It's typewritten on paper.

It's pages long, with columns depicting the house number range, street name, route ID#

I want to somehow be able to scan this information on my scanner and then be able to digitize the information in such a way that it can be imported into a flash card program (such as Mental Case) that I can study from.

Any suggestions on how this might be done or the best software for the job?

Thanks in advance

Scan using OCR which basically turns the rasterized image to text that you can at least copy and paste. That is all that comes to mind right now.
Perhaps do you know anyone with a Neat desk unit?

I have the Neatdesk software. Have never installed it. However, unless I am wrong, that is mostly used for addresses/contacts, isn't it?

Perhaps I am wrong.

Devonthink Office Pro comes to mind. It is expensive, but more than capable of doing what you want.
