Taking notes with iPhone?

Is anyone else excited about the possibility of taking their notes with an iPhone, in replacement of a laptop?

It would be ideal if Apple made a travel-sized keyboard for this purpose... or let the iPhone use a Bluetooth keyboard! 🙂

What I want to know is what a "soft" keyboard is. Is the screen made of velvet? Perhaps that will keep the smudges off.
