Hey guys, i would like to know if there are any ways to take screen shots of iPhones home screen other than pressing the power and home button on same time? are there any Apps that could do that?

Use assistive touch as Eau Rouge has just said. There is an option for a floating home button and the option to take a screen shot.
No, apps cannot take screenshots. What's wrong with the options that exist?
Why, there may be Apps over there that do that as it happens for a pc when take screenshots or videos of your desktop, i was just asking to know those Apps if they really exist.
Home button plus powerbutton = screenshot. Works on the lockscreen, works on the homescreen, works inside ANY app.
We are all failing to understand why you need a specific app for a screen shot when this combination of buttons works in any circumstance on the iPhone.
Are you maybe meaning "How do I record my screen?" Because recording your screen is entirely different than taking a one picture screen shot.

yeah that's absolutely what i wanted, is there anyway we could record the screen?
Other than some jailbreak options I don't know of any app offhand that will record your screen.

I can not think of any apps for the iPhone that will allow you to directly record the screen while not being connected to a computer. You can use ScreenFlow, Camtasia or similar programs to record your iPhone but the drawback to that is you need to have you phone connected to the computer running the program to record it. Otherwise I think you need to jailbreak your phone which will open the door to a few options like Display Recorder on Cydia.
