tansparencies in flash

anyone know if you can have tansparencies in flash. So say you have one red color block that overlaps an a blue color block and when it overlaps it changes the color? Where is this setting in flash?

it's called alpha in flash. I'm too lazy to explain it all but do a google search for flash alpha settings and you should find some tips.
