Taptic engine not working for apps?

Just received and set up my Apple Series 2 watch. I only get the vibration taptic notifications for call/texts. Facebook notifications and other apps, I do not get the vibration when a notification comes through, just the red dot at the top. Is that normal?
 
No, it's not normal, but it's not unusual. I had this problem with my first 42mm SS AW. I brought it in to the Apple Store, and traded it in for a new watch
