Best Buy should be willing/able to replace your iPad for another with a preferable color. Returning or exchanging with them can be kind of a hassle but they will do it.
I don't recommend doing this at best buy or they will flag you especially if you're swapping tablets. I believe it's called the retail equation and swapping tablets for any reason will give you a red mark. That's why they ask you for your identification.
I only shop at best buy for items $100 or below unless it's a deal to good to pass up.
I am a BestBuy employee and I can tell you this is not true. If you were to do 20+ returns on the same item maybe. The system that tracks the returns is in place for fraud. It is not meant to "block" or "red flag" the average consumer who is indecisive or is very picky about their product.
I don't have the wrapping for the iPad that came inside the box is that going to be a problem for Apple to return. Also do I just restore it and in fine.
I returned an ipad2 to BB today after using it for 2 weeks ( I got an IPad mini 2 at Target during Black Friday and I find it to be a better fit for me than the Air 2). The only question I was asked was the reason for return. They did do a thorough inspection of the device. But otherwise I was issued a full refund back to my credit card. Hope this helps.

^ Completely false. It's not the type of item or even the price of the item they track. It is only the frequency of your returns. If you return too many items in a given amount of time, at the time of the (red flag raising) return, they will inform you that you will not be able to return any more items for 90 days.
