I chose the the one that didnt swivel because I HATED the look of the 360, Plus I hardly ever use my ipad in portrait anyway.

I also have the non-rotating version (Vuscape) and have problems with iPad slipping out of the groove. This looks as if it will do the same thing. I like the case if only it would stay in the groove. I have to put small clips on both sides so it will stay in the groove. :(

For me it seemed like there wasn't really an angle created for typing...

Thanks - all the advertising blurb mentions there are three angles, one of which is great for typing (not my words!). From what I've seen, if you fold the cover over, then the iPad will be facing up at a slight angle, but not one that looks that stable to me.

Also, thanks for the other feedback - very good of you. I'm looking for something that offers decent protection when travelling and the extra weight/bulk is something that I'll just have to accept! One thing that very much appeals with this case is that the portrait mode would be great when using an external keyboard.

Interesting, I've had the vuscape for a month and a half and not had this problem. It slips now and then but not enough that it's a big deal - and usually when I'm balancing it at a funny angle on my lap, so it doesn't quite fit into the groove anyhow.

That's really good to know - I've seen a quite a few video reviews and read a fair amount on the case, but haven't seen much about typing! Is is possible to type when your lap?

Also, thanks for the feedback about the weight.

the lack of a specifically designed typing position hinders most typing on this, period. Also bc of this its not very sturdy and typing angle is horrible. Short typing ok, a long email would suck... I had this case for about 2 weeks before returning it. Its a very nice looking case. Very few also display the apple logo to which i thought at the time was a nice feature. However, that opening traps dust and being a hard case that holds the ipad on the inside it can scratch it. I went for it bc the look is very professional but at $65 with tax from Best Buy...No ... I soon did some research and realized there are much nicer cases in this price range or cheaper. the 360 design is cool but i almost never use vertical except for books, which isnt to often and for docs but i have my 11"MBA for.

Thanks for the feedback. As I said earlier, I'm interested in the portrait stand mode for use with an external angle - I'm not looking to use a laptop in certain situations - but with a small case, the Incase Origami keyboard case/stand looks a good option.

I would prefer the logo area wasn't open as I wondered about dust etc. getting in. However, the main danger I feel would be when it was in a bag and when transporting, I could use a neoprene cover or padded envelope.

Interesting what you say about the price - in the UK, it goes for £40, which is a pretty standard price for an iPad 2... I wish there were some decent ones q fair bit cheaper!

What did you go for in the end?
