I need to do a lot of number entries and bought the Targus USB Keypad to use with my Macbook Pro. The problem is that it doesn't seem to work too well,. It enters the number then immediately clears it. It works fine without NumLock on but I need it with the numbers, not for navigation.

Did I waste my money? Any ideas of solutions? Is there some kind of software I need to make it work right? I could really use some help and/or advice.

I don't have a lot of money to spend but I suppose I can buy a new one. Just can't afford to get the wireless Mac keyboard which would probably solve the whole problem though I really only need the number keypad! Help! 😕

Create a new user account (System Preferences>Accounts) and then log in to the new account, does the problem still occur?

Yup. Still enters, then immediately erases the numbers so I can't enter any numbers at all. However, if I hold down a number, it will appear to enter it. Then touching any other key on the keypad, erases whatever was done before. Very, very weird.

Odd, so it's a systemwide issue. Does Targus offer any mac drivers for it and do they advertise it as Mac compatible?
