I currently have a Tascam FW-1082 Firewire interface/control surface I'm currently using with Logic Pro 8 and a PowerMac G5. It still does everything I need, but I suspect my Tascam interface will outlast the G5. I know Ventura and later dropped support for firewire interfaces entirely. My question is what is the newest mac and macOS that anyone has successfully used with this interface? The reason is that I'm debating on whether or not to keep a couple of old mac mini's (early 2009 and 2010 server) that I could possibly use with it, or whether an Apple M1 studio with Monterrey would work since prices on those are dropping.
