Taskbar Notify

I know on the jailbroken phone there was a app that when someone text you or you got a email it appear in the taskbar near the clock i wounder if there going to be a app in the app store for the 3g phone

NO there isnt

apple dont allow background processes

but the guy said he will update for 2.0 when a jail break is released
