Yes, taxes are based on the local state's tax rate. New Hampshire doesn't charge sales taxes and Mass charges 6.125% so there's clear difference right there.

I hear ya, I live about 40 minutes away from NH, so most of my "major" shopping occurs in NH.

.that is why I drive next door to South Carolina on their tax free weekend. No limit on computer purchases. Here in GA the tax free limit is $1500. 😡
