I've got a 2011 15" MBP. I was in Best Buy, planned to run to Apple to buy an MDP-to-HDMI adapter and saw a RocketFish adapter for $10 less. Supports audio. Figured I'd give it a shot, despite knowing that RocketFish generally makes P.O.S. crap.

While the adapter is reasonably good, it only supports 2 channel audio. Confirmed this with tech support. Picture quality is great, but I've got a surround system for a reason.

I've read that the Moshi adapter supports at least 5.1 audio. http://store.apple.com/us/question/answers/product/H1824ZM/A?mco=MjIyOTA1MDY&pqid=QXAJ24X2AC99J44JYAK9K2TYKPPPUX4D9&qt=surround But I'm hoping to get some kind of additional confirmation, or a recommendation of an adapter that supports at least 5.1 audio.

I have the Griffin adapter and I can confirm it passes 5.1 audio.
