A client has spilt tea on the keyboard of his retina MacBook 2015. It appears to be working on the whole, however the keyboard is behaving erratically - the 'S' key has a ming of its own when pressed - it will either recognise the press but will be as though the S is being held (multiple 's' rather than a single s) or it doesn't register the button press at all.

Has anyone had any experience of this before?

Any suggestions?

Cheers

He should have powered it off and left it to dry a day or two. The erratic key behaviour might go away. I had a similar issue and after a few days of stuck keys it worked fine eventually.

Keep an eye on the machine as Tea contains Tannic Acid and the spill can leak down thru the keyboard on to the logic board. Spills have a way of showing up later on causing corrosion and erratic behavior.
