I once dated quite a hot german girl who obviously had no taste if she was dating me, but we had to break up for......"hygiene reasons." Those East German chicks man.......We won't go into details. 😀

Anyway, didn't learn a bit of German.

That's actually the best advice you'll get next to watching a lot of German TV and reading German magazines.
This is basically how I learned English and Spanish and I don't consider myself to be terribly bad at it. 😀

I tried to learn Mandarin that way. Progress was going well....then we broke up, and...........motivation was gone. 🙁

I dated a German girl..well.. her mom was from Germany and her Dad was born in the US, but he was still mostly German. She spoke it fluently, but never really did around me.

She was a cute little thing, until she dumped me the day before Valentines Day. I took all her stuff back and got my $ back 🙂
