I use teamviewer almost a decade. Remote connection & desktop with no problems!
It was the program which succeed to connect, when all others failed.
But no more in my case!
El capitan 10.11.2 and teamviewer 11.
Impossible to connect anywhere.
I try to connect from mac, to several pcs.
The target computer-pc seems to receive the 'signal' from mac, as I observed in the pc side by side with my mac, but it does not connect. Connection failure.

Am I the only one with this awful problem?
Is this an incompatibility?
Any solution?

So, while I try to connect, in the remote machine teamviewer displays (id - photoshop deleted):

and in my mac I see:

Why, why teamviewer does not connect?

I uninstalled it, from the option inside teamviewer, but when I installed it again, the problem remained.

I can't imagine what is happening.

Any ideas please?

From a 10 second google search.....

This is usually because the remote computer is not fully set up for unattended remote access. On the remote computer go to 'Extras' - 'Options' - 'Advanced' - and scroll down to 'advanced settings for connections to this computer' and set 'Access control' to 'Full Access'. The cause of the problem is that the remote computer gets a message which asks if it is OK to grant full access. If no one accepts this question within 20 seconds it declines the connection with the error code 'WaitForConnectFailed'.

I wish what you said to be the solution. But nope.
I just checked the remote computer, and it was already this way.

I found that they have support page.
I send an email with this problem.
I got a 'ticket'.
It's been a couple of days.

Did anyone made use of their support back in the past?

Should I wait for an answer and solution? Soon?

I am having the same problem. Have you heard back from TeamViewer support team?
Thanks.

For 2 months now, I try with their helpdesk, with no success!
The helpdesk escalated this problem, even to developers themselves, and still no solution!

Please, contact them too.
Maybe if we are many with the same problem, they will put it in greater priority for solution.

Maybe it is incompatibility with el capitan?
Helpdesk never told me such thing.

To tell the truth, I feel tired.
3 months now, we search for solution...
I need a product to play without flaws, as it was for almost a decade.
Not to be a beta tester...

I dunno weather it matters now, or weather u'r still wanting to know, but i got a response back from TeamViewer support on this:

"TeamViewer Version 10 and Version 11 are both fully supported and compatible with El Capitan."

Did you also check 'Full access control when a partner is connecting to the login window'?

I am experiencing this problem too. But if I have logged in my mac's user. Then, I can connect my mac via teamviewer. But if I am outside and my mac booted by schedule. Then, I cannot connect my mac via teamviewer. I tried reinstalling TeamViewer and it worked for about 2 days and then not working again.
I also had another connection problem and wrote to Teamviewer. They replied me in about 3 to 4 days. Yesterday I wrote them again. Hope that I get the luck this time.

Every day that passes, it seems that we are more users with the same problem.
I 've talked to them since months, and still no solution!
I don't have the time to be a debugger, I followed their instructions till one point, but after this, I dropped.
Still remain with the problem...

May sounds silly, but did u just try rebooting afterwards ?

I've had the same problem after an online upgrade to TV11 then I tried this and it worked.

- trash TeamViewer.app and empty the trashcan
- REBOOT
- download and install a fresh TV11

- launch TV
- the remote control screen doesn't shows
- force exit from TV
- relaunch TV and my user is already logged in

that's fine for me. Thank you

I trashed it many times.
I re-downloaded it many times.
Manual updates. Inside app-updates.
Uninstalling with special uninstaller apps too(like appdelete).

Nothing helped.
It cannot connect.

And I am almost 6 months with this problem!

I hardly believe that an application that worked fine for so many years,
no longer runs on my mac in its new versions...

same here ! if anyone can help...
[doublepost=1472563520][/doublepost]there is something strange going on with TM11 and el capitain.

i get the same message as you all BUT if i try to connect from another wifi place or via my phone i get thought the connection.
even more strange is the fact that if i try to connect via the windows 7 installation i have setup with parallels from the SAME machine with el capitain mac os, magically the connection goes through

How can this happen? I deleted my connection also in networks and created a new one, the same thing again.

very strange.

I have the same problem using the latest team viewer version 11
I uninstalled it and installed version 10 and it works OK if the remote PC has the same version. But if it has version 11 it prompts me to update team viewer.
I also did a little trick and it worked fine with version 11
I disconnected from my home WiFi and connected to another WiFi that I shared from my android phone and ...... I got connected to every other remote PC.
Then I went back to my home WiFi and .... No connection again...
And I also found out that my iPhone 6s has exactly the same problem using the latest team viewer version...
Isn't that weird or what????

Worked for me, just tested it.

TV does have a pretty extensive log file - maybe it will disclose if it is on your end or actually on their end where negotiation stops or fails.

New final 12 version.
Anybody with problem that tested this version?
I just tried upgrading the software, and still the problem persists. I am trying to connect to a Windows 8 laptop from Mac El Capitan which has the latest version of TV. The PC has a recent version, but not the latest. It used to connect without problems.
I've seen this error before and usually in the past I just wait a while and it eventually connects. But this has been for several days and it's still not connecting - even after this update just now.
[doublepost=1482363890][/doublepost]Just a minor update to this...

I've checked this out on 2 computers now. On the Mac, I see the device and get the error. On a different computer (Windows) the computer I want to connect to is appearing as offline.

So there is clearly something weird going on. So, either it's online, or it's offline.
Given the connection error window, I'm guessing there is a problem with the connection and/or it's current offline. But who knows.

my 2 cents.
