It's sad the biggest interface items on the Pro kind of suck now. The keyboard is not great and the trackpad apparently is too big and gets in the way. Thinner is an obsession that is hurting lots of products.

Totally agree. That is why I just bought a 13" 2015 retina display macbook pro.

The update less than a year ago included a defective keyboard design. Asking them to fix that a year later on a new model is asking a lot? It seems less than the bare minimum to me.
The 13" MacBook Pro has a defective keyboard? What?!

The first thing I noticed, last year, in the MBP was the trackpad.
My first thought was "Now I have more area to control the cursor, in applications like image and video editors, which gives more accuracy and precison in what I do, since I have more trackpad space travel, for the same pixels".

For me and others in the area, this new big trackpad, is a big plus.
Of course, for simpler things like word processing, there's no advantage.

Well that's not all models, just like how the 6s isn't an awful phone because of some issues with the battery on some models
I'd rather a company with such high satisfaction as Apple have zero reported issues with its newest product. My 2015 rMBP model is flawless in reputation and personal experience. Why do we need to spot these new machines anything, especially when they're hundreds more expensive than the last generation. (It seems Apple is tempting physics by smushing down a repetitive mechanical action to .5 travel. Over millions of machines, the failure rate could be unavoidable.)

I occasionally experienced weird keyboard sound on entry level 13'' MBP, too, but it goes away after a few clicks. As of now I hear no weird sounds from any keys. But to future-proof, I bought AppleCare.
You still need to replicate the issue with Apple. They need to admit to it. I was an owner of an old white iBook with a logic board issue. Apple made me send it in three times before a replacement was authorized. Then it admitted six months later, there was a flaw with that model. Apple Care isn't perfect when there's a flaw or issue with a machine. It is better than nothing!
