So, for close to 24 hours, i have the Tech21 Evo Clear case: https://www.tech21.com/collections/...es/products/evo-clear-iphone-12-pro-max-clear
Pros: Perfect size...same size as Apple Clear case in thickness...and maybe a few sub-millimeter wider...not noticeable in hand. Clear back case. Polycarbonate back...and maybe polycarbonate sides too with thick TPU at buttons. Very tight fitting...probably tightest that i have seen. No sag anywhere. Fit is perfect. Lip in front is perfect and sturdy. Camera cutout as you can see below is perfect. Cutout at silent switch is perfect, centered and wide. Cutouts at bottom are perfect, asymmetrical. Charging port cutout is nice and wide and centered. Buttons juts out just perfect...are super duper clicky (see Cons below). Shock absorbent...10 ft. Anti-microbial materials. Supposedly no yellowing. MagSafe compatible per site (have not tested it).
Cons: Clear back, but frosty sides, which kinda detracts from the beautiful shiny stainless steel band of the phone. Due to clear back, it will scratch and show fingerprints. (Hopefully, my PopSocket prevents scratching.) Did i say tight fitting? This is not a case for taking on/off every other day. No sag at charging port, BUT there is some “give” at the volume buttons (however, not much give over power button). Slippery because it is basically a thick hard plastic/polycarbonate case...not as slippery as Apple Clear case but more so than others with TPU/silicone/leather. The corners have “shock absorbers,” but not really...it is basically hard plastic in wavy design on the inside. Yes, buttons are very clicky...but almost too clicky...i activated Apply Pay accidentally a few times.
I will keep it...and will remain my main case for now because it is the right size and feel. I wish the area around volume buttons was tighter...but everywhere else is supreme fit & tightness. At $40, I think that it is overpriced...and probably would not buy it. BUT, i got it on sale at BB for $20. At $20, i think that it is an excellent case and value. Nothing else around $20 is as good overall.
