I purchased a MacBook Pro a few months ago, right before moving to Paris for a year. I recently noticed that the cord to my power adapter is unraveling and after investigating this, I found that this is a widespread problem for MacBook Pro owners and that I can have it replaced for free at an Apple Store. Unfortunately, there isn't an Apple Store in Paris. Does anybody know how I can get my cord repaired from here? It is very inconvenient to ship the cord to the United States because this is the only computer I have access to at the moment. I might have to buy a new cord, but I was just curious to see if anybody here has encountered a similar problem, or has any suggestions. Thank you very much! 🙂

Call Apple Support; they send you a new adapter to your address and then you return the broken one.
