my friend and i were just talking about the advancement of technology and how fast it grows. there is a formula out there that is like spot on that show the growth of computer technology and i cant find it.

just think 5 years ago 256 mb was like top of the line ram. Now the mac pro can handle up to 16GB.

I just wanted to hear some input on this matter. How long until we see micro computers in our own bodies. etc.

what do you think apple technology will look like in 2, 5, 10, 15 years?....
its crazy exciting to think about.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore's_Law

Moore's Law is the empirical observation made in 1965 that the number of transistors on an integrated circuit for minimum component cost doubles every 24 months.[1][2] It is attributed to Gordon E. Moore (born 1929),[3] a co-founder of Intel. Although it is sometimes quoted as every 18 months, Intel's official Moore's Law page, as well as an interview with Gordon Moore himself, state that it is every two years.

I have some old MacUser magazines from the mid 90s. I was looking at them over the weekend. There are some crazy prices in there eg. 64MB DIMMs for £1750!
Or a x2 External CD burner for £1400.
