I have seen a few clips on youtube and have't seen anything that funny. Should I give it a shot or it is paid bs?

Good show but the last episode was strange
The show is always filled with pop culture references, but they’ve doubled down on them and made entire themes for certain episodes, which I’ve seen other shows like “Psych” do. Like the salute to rom-coms one which worked in nods to popular rom-con tropes.

This one drew on some popular but obscure conspiracy theories and inside jokes on simulation theory, so of course it was pretty strange, but Coach Beard is a bit strange so it was a good fit for a guy who admitted to accidentally dosing himself on mushrooms on an earlier episode. Lol I tried to explain this on the Ted Lasso thread, but I think everyone thinks I’ve gone Q-Anonaloony. 🤣

I'm a huge SNL nerd and a Jason Sudekis fan. This show should be right up my alley.
It is professionally made and well acted. But I don't think I laughed one time in the 5 episodes I sat through.
The characters are unlikable, the premise doesn't work unless you have magical plot armor, and it is devoid of laughs.

This is an excellent show - but I wouldn't call it a comedy. Having said that, Roy Kent is bar far the funniest and his relationship with his (niece?) is very sweet. And Rebecca.. oh my.. wow!

As for the episode with Bear - I thought it was great. I'm also glad it doesn't (yet) follow the same old underdog team winning in the end. I'm guessing it appeals to more people that way as not everyone is that passionate about soccer, but they are about the characters.

Couldn’t stomach this show anymore after 3 episodes. Don’t get the hype. Not just this show but havent really seen anything lately I could get into besides rewatching older shows. Guess I’m in sports mode with college football. Last show I saw on Netflix was so garbage I cancelled it twice to make sure.
Only streamers at present is Amazon (prime always), Hulu and Disney (because Verizon). And that ever free atv+ Restarted YouTube tv for football.
Did like Boss Level on Hulu.

Well if you're still able to watch SNL I can see why you might not recognize good comedy when you see it. ;)

A lot of people berating the second season and whilst I understand the sentiment, I do wonder if it is because between S1 and S2 it moved from an American-style serial comedy with overarching plot to a British-style workplace comedy with a large cast.

The Beard episode last week was one of the best things I’ve seen on TV all year but I wonder if half the jokes are lost on an American audience as they wouldn’t know who the likes of Gary Lineker and Thierry Henry are or why it is funny for Henry to refer back to his time advertising the french car manufacturer Renault.

I’ll admit that this season could have just been Roy Kent taking over management of Richmond. Does the show even need Ted in it anymore when things don’t revolve around him? I’m also hoping for a decent payoff with the ongoing Nathan sub-plot. At some point his slight shift to workplace bully to the kit boy has to explode into the main team.

I guess I should check out this show. I keep reading good things about it.

It would also give me a reason to use my free Apple TV sub which I haven't used since the beginning of the year. :p

Try Mythic Quest.
I'll be honest I wasn't getting in to that show until the toss back episode. Trying to be as vague as possible. But it was at that point for me that I saw there was more to it then the usual "comedy" of today's shows. I thought they finally tossed the safe space crap for Season 2. Naomi nailed the role of Carol. I think she's my favorite character now.
