True- if I were actually trying to argue that "my guy" wasn't biased towards Apple, my reply to you would have been fallacious and meaningless. I don't know "my guy", but I was just trying to point out that these forums are a haven for anti-Apple bias, so it's strange to call out someone who may be biased towards Apple... on an Apple forum.

Now, I completely agree with your second paragraph- nobody knows who is at fault for the Telegram delay, and at least the update has finally gone through.
That's not how it works. I was highlighting your deflection, not whether or not you were arguing for Futurix. Those are two different things. Your only contribution to the topic (at that particular point) was "yeah he's biased, but so are other people". No attempt at discussing the topic, either for or against. Just "yeah but them too." That's a whataboutism, plain and simple. Evidence: "...but I was just trying to point out that these forums are a haven for anti-Apple bias". Topic? Nope. Two things: 1. Your comment doesn't say anything like that. There's no way to get "haven for anti-Apple bias" from it. Maybe your inner monologue said that.:D 2. Sychophants and haters frequent this forum. Neither group brings anything to it. Luckily, most people here have nuanced opinion and don't come pre-loaded with Apple is great or Apple sucks opinions. But we see what we want to see am I right?

Now between the two threads, if you can find where I have called out Futurix's bias a bad thing, I'll eat my hat. I can save you some time, I have not done that. In fact I've done the opposite. So there's that. Having a bias towards Apple on an Apple-centric site does not give one carte blanche to make up stuff and not get called on it. That is also not how it works.

The thing is, discussions don't have to remain strictly on topic. Natural human conversation can take twists and turns, and I freely admit that I am the one that threw a twist or turn in there. You followed me down that path, but I take responsibility for going down that path in the first place.

Now, I would think that most people view "bias" as a bad thing when trying to have a discussion, so of course I'm going to imply that you brought that up as an attempt to discredit Futurix. Maybe that's your inner monologue betraying your attempt to remain logical and unbiased?

Reactions: Futurix

Sadly they have still not fixed the sticky notifications issue.. So even after you have read conversations on another device the Telegram X icon will be stuck with notification badge on its icon until you open the app so it clears. Rather annoying.

Telegram is not a new kid on the block in app development. Give them some credit.
Give them some credit? Have you seen the complaints about their encryption scheme? Their bots API (which I've used) is also kinda ghetto, and the Mac app is pretty broken. I wouldn't be surprised if they simply forgot to abide to some App Store guideline. I'm not saying the whole company is bad, but there are some people there producing bad work for whatever reason, like with those other services with millions of users like Yahoo! and Equifax.

If you an advanced user, you can sideload on iOS as well.
Yes, this has been the case for as long as I can remember. Yet there's a complaint early-on in like every thread involving the App Store. What's with the myth that you can't sideload?

This changes things! No wonder then. :) A native would know things more than any outsider could. /s
"Russian" is also a state of mind and a tradition of ways, so I've heard. Same with many countries, and you don't get it unless you're connected somehow.

... Or he just meant he follows the news, as he said above :D

Like many I was happy to see the update finally released. But like others are saying in this thread, the delay is concerning. Why was the update held up? We will probably never know, and I'm going to be a bit uneasy about this whole mess until I see another update or two, proving that Apple is no longer delaying updates of this app.

I'm a heavy telegram user; many people I know use it and we have lots of groups which have become a community of sorts. If it went away, a lot of people would be upset.
