Messaging app Telegram now has a native Apple Watch app. The app supports viewing and responding to Telegram messages from the wrist.

Features like stickers, voice messages, and location information can be shared from the Apple Watch app.

Telegram had an Apple Watch app back in 2015, but it was discontinued and removed from the App Store a few years back. There have been third-party Telegram apps for the Apple Watch, but now Telegram users can once again use a first-party solution.

Nice. Can we get option to edit posts in private chats at anytime (like slack, gchat, teams, discord etc) instead of just within 48 hours? Thank you

They used to have one way back in 2016 by the way. They just started it up again after Whatsapp made theirs.

Having to type your password into the watch to access your account is a terrible user experience.

You would expect a native Apple Watch app to sync automatically with your iPhone, without you having to do anything other than install the app on the Apple Watch.

P.S.: If you do not have a password set up for your Telegram account, you will not be prompted to enter one. In any case, you still have to use your phone to scan a QR code displayed on your watch. This is suboptimal and a poor user experience.
