So what does everyone think about the teleport app?
i was disappointed when the app i spent 25 bucks on wasn't actually able to teleport me anywhere
Just an fyi, there is an iPhone App forum. You'll probably get better responses there.
not a fan at all. i dont know why they tell you to uninstall your current vnc server (i use realvnc enterprise edition and teleport doesnt work with it at all) and have you install that outdated mess that is tightvnc. you can't even use passwords over 8 characters. that how old it is.
meanwhile, mocha works just fine. shrug.
I was also dissapointed when I wasn't transported anywhere I'm so mad I'm returning my iphone and going back to my lg chocolate
I claim false advertising. I'm gonna sue
ps. I'm american so I can do that
Guess I'm not the only one. I started it up expecting to take an interesting trip and was bummed when nothing happened So I just took some LSD instead...
And now back to the actual topic: the idea of the App and the interface looks quite impressive (particularly if desktop mouse control is real-time), but I am thusfar hesitant to drop $25 on what is essentially a VNC client.
Glad I read this first. After reading the review at BGR (http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2008/07/31/best-iphone-application-ever/) I almost bought it.
