No you're just being silly. Of course it won't float. Of course, there will be a ton of cases that do.

The iPad looks to be lighter for it's volume than the same volume of water, so it would make a great toy boat. Tape the dock and headphone jacks shut though, and hope they used some sealant between the screen and the case. 😉
