Pages (and Keynote) is an unintuitive piece of crap.

I sometimes use it on my Macbook.

But what is even worse I converted/exported a 921 KB Pages document to Word.

It turns out the Word document is a meagre 60 KB.

Is Pages the new plastic pollution in the ocean?

Pages includes an high res preview image.

Pages documents are actually zip files, rename it to .zip and decompress it to see what's inside.
Okay thanks.

This is useful information.

I am not a tree hugger (although people claim it is good for your mental health) and don't say hello to every cloud in the morning when I wake up.

But it made me wonder why waste space.

As opposed to Word and PowerPoint, which are so simple and intuitive to use 🤣
Honestly they are easier to use.

Especially for people who don't to RTFMs.

Ever tried to draw curves and shapes in Keynote?

I had to do some youtube tutorials but in the meantime forgot everything what was said in these tutorials.

Powerpoint is just better.

They have now a new feature where you can write equations with the mouth pointer and it is translated into math style proper. Works not always in Powerpoint but sometimes for simpler math style equations.

Of course no would want to write a dissertation in Word (for this my dear fellow LaTeX was invented long time ago).

pages keynote and numbers are definitely worse than MS Office, but they are also definitely "free" so I'll unfortunately have to keep using them.
