Temp of imac C2D

How do i check the temperature of my imac 😱 It seems to be really hot when i'm not really doing much... just browsing MR and have adium open. Are my fans operating as they should be.

I don't know if it's normal for your Intel machine. But, I do know that the fans on the two iMac G5 systems I had previously always stayed at 2500 R.P.M. or higher no matter how little it was doing. So, I would think your fans are likely fine.

As for temperature, which temp / monitoring program are you using? Most have that feature built-in. Here's the one I always liked:
