When I 'Build Overviews' in Serato (a music program) my CPU temperature shoots up to around 95 degrees and the usage shoots up to 185%.

Is this anything to be worried about because I have to keep it at this temperature for a couple of hours at a time?

It's a 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 3GB RAM and 10.4.11.

Been going for an hour - hovering around 85-90. Is that normal / OK?

Is that in Celsius?

Do you use SMC Fan control? You can increase the speed of your fans manually so that you can prevent the internal temps from shooting up to excessive points like 90 C.

No, don't use SMC anymore. I'm still running the processes now, been a good few hours at 85-90 celcius and the only reason it's not hitting 95-100 (which is was earlier) is because there's a big fan blowing cold air onto it!
