Since many people ask what normal temps are for a MBP, I thought it would be helpful to have a thread full of examples. Please post info about the machine you have, as well as what you are currently using your machine for. If you can keep the temperature in Celsius, that would be helpful too to prevent people from having to convert back and forth (I hate math). If you're not using OS X, please indicate that as well because that could be useful.

13" early 2011 2.7 GHz i7 (MC724LL/A)

CPU temp: 64 C

Usage: Light web browsing

OS: OpenBSD 5.5

MC724LL/A

Temp: 58 C

Usage: Firefox with 1 RAM module removed and the internal wireless card and camera unplugged from the board. The system draws 1.25 watts less power, shows a ~30 minute increase in battery life, and runs a little bit cooler too.

0... I guess... It's not turned on. Or wait... that would be room temp, but um... I'm not in the room, so I don't know what the temp could be. :D

have a june 2012 retina mbp 2.6 i7
room temp is around 23C, using clamshell mode, still, I guess it's a bit excessive for just 6 tabs of chrome and some flash? played some guildwars 2 in windows 8.1 and got up to 97 then stabilized between 86 and 91, not too comfy considering cpu was at half load
