i am late this year to the upgrade game (i usually buy every two years in September), but today i got a 11 Pro to replace my XS. i searched this forum but didn't find too much in the way of discussion of screen protectors. so, i thought i should start a thread...

questions:
- which full coverage protector are people using for their iPhone 11 Pro?
- has anyone released installation kits for the 11 pro specifically (as opposed to combo kits for the X/XS/11 Pro)? it seems the 11 Pro is slightly larger than the XS.
- comments/experiences/recommendations?

my experiences (that led me here):
- i used originally a Maxboost (not full coverage, but with cutout) and Icaraz 2.5D on my XS. i really liked the icarez. it didn't look there was a protector there at all and protected my screen nicely for 1.5 years.
- since i had one spare icarez2.5D, i tried to install it on my 11 Pro: i found that the frame was very tight fit. i did manage to get it on without scratching my bezel, but i didn't like how i had to force it on. to make matters worse, the install was a fail because the adhesive was defective on this protector (there was a weird "ring of adhesive" that almost looked like a scratch on the glass). Icarez is amazingly going to send me a replacement even though i bought this a long time ago. for now, i put on an extra maxboost. that tray wasn't as hard to put on, and it installed bubble free. it works, but i don't like the appearance of the non-full coverage.

Use the same one you used on your Xs
so you didn't have any issues with frame?
assuming icarez sends me replacements soon, i'll go that direction but was wondering if there are any alternative kits out there with a frame made for the 11 Pro which is a smidge wider in dimension.

I use the Belkin one Apple put on. But lately I’m not liking it. Too thick...

The MaxBoost are terrific, easy to install, alignment frame works great, nice feel/no affect on touch responsiveness, good clarity, very thin (0.25mm), and the price is right, I think I paid ~$11 for a 3-pack for the X/XS/11 Pro (also using these on the little G's 11, they're only~$7/3-pack).

I use a Spigen case that wraps a bit around the front, the very slight gap between the protector and the edge of the case doesn't bother me at all, just doesn't factor into my daily use/enjoyment/concerns ;)

No issues for me. X Xs and 11 pro i use all the same.

thanks for the responses. and a confession: the reason why the icarez install went so poorly is i had grabbed a "used protector" from a failed install when i first set up my XS. i realized this yesterday (just had a "recollection moment"), found a new 5.8" protector and slapped it on this morning. frame was tight again, but things lined up perfectly with a dust free, bubble free installation*

after living with the "non full coverage"/notched Maxboost for a couple of days, it was very evident that i had to go back to a full coverage protector. it's not just an appearance thing, but also the feel when swiping up is a lot better with the full coverage protector from icarez. there is not noticeable edge with a case on, and even careless, the edge is a lot more rounded/smooth.

* while the maxboost went on with zero bubbles, the icarez always seems to trap a few bubbles somewhere on the screen that can be removed in an hour with regular (every few minutes) pressure to the bubble area, or they evaporate/disappear overnight. after on and off pressure for an hour on one area on my screen, i now have a perfect install. i somehow managed zero dust particles this time (i always seem to have one somewhere)
