Hi. I'm curious if anyone knows if there is an easy way to hide the dock while working in software. Ideally I'd like a command that suspends the "Automatically Hide and Show Dock" feature and defaults to hiding the doc. Then, i could use the command to reengage the "Automatically Hide and Show Dock" feature.

The problem with the Command (⌘) + Option + D command is that it defaults to showing the dock.

All that said, I need it out of my way while working and not being triggered when the cursor gets near whatever side of the screen I have it set to.

Thank you for any insight. Cheers.

Only way I’ve been able to deal with it in the past, is turn off auto-hide so it’s just “there.” Not an ideal solution in that it’s taking up some screen real estate but it does get rid of the effect you’re seeing.

Curious if anyone else has other suggestions.
