iPad Terminal App on iPad

I downloaded the Terminal App in order to change my root password (the Alpine one) but the app crashes, has anybody else tried to do this with their iPad and had success?

It crashes for me. You can use Rock to change your root pw, just DL openSSH first and then run Rock, it let me know on my iPhone.

There is a version of MobileTerminal that supports iPad

Add this source to Cydia - http://apt.macosmovil.com/ - and search for MobileTerminal again. Install the one version 426, marked "for iOS 4". Enjoy.
