    can anyone help please ?

I want to compare two file systems using diff -r........

the first file system is a folder that I can locate OK in terminal. However, I can not locate an external USB HDD. It appears on desktop called "External 500GB". What would the path be for this ? volumes/ does not seem to work ? ?

    Cheers !

    Phil

    Should be:

    "/Volumes/External 500GB"

    try it with quotes.
