I was wondering if you can tweak OS X Terminal to run commands like some linux systems do.

Ex:
OS X: cp -R directory ../new/path
Linux: cp directory ../new/path -R

Anyone knows if this can be done?

Thanks

Terminal is just a terminal emulator application. What you're wondering is if you can tweak the shell the same way as you can in Linux.

The answer is yes because like most Linux distributions, Mac OS X's default shell is GNU bash. It has all the same built-ins.
