Terminal keeps popping up when I click on the download folder

Hi there. Have the latest MacBook Pro with Lion. Can't figure out why terminal keeps popping up when I click on the download folder under finder. How do I make terminal go away? I don't use terminal. I would like to click on the download folder and see things that I have downloaded, as it use to be! Can anyone help me with this?
