Terminal problem

Forgive me if this is the wrong forum. It seemed to be the most appropriate.

Hello, I'm a perl developer and use the terminal quite a bit. Lately I've been working on a friends computer that hired my to do some automation tasks, but something very annoying has been happening. The terminal will print a random message interrupting my work. I'll put the message below. Any help will be deeply appreciated.
