What is the consensus about the free browser app Terra that I just downloaded from the App store? I searched around first, yes, but did not find anything re reviews?! is it new?

So far I really like it. It reminds me of Chrome... It is very fast and it has tabs.

The app has many reviews in the app store. That's as good as any review I suppose. Never used it myself.

Okay so I decided to give it a try. It's free so worth downloading I suppose. Not bad, though it doesn't come without it's problems. But no iPad browsers are without problems. In the hour I've used it, no crashes which from reading reviews I was surprised.

Like you mentioned, the search options are all messed up. It's google or no google, but you have to start a new tab to search through google which is lame.

Now I'm used to iCab so compared to that I miss options, this has none outside Passkey and clearing the history and cookies. No download option, no bookmark bar that I know of, I know some don't find that useful but I do.

Overall, not bad. Worth keeping an eye on I guess.

Charles, I installed it yesterday after seeing your post and I really like it a lot! I've got iCab, Safari, Atomic, Lunascape, Perfect, Mercury, Grazing Browser, Last Pass and Aarade (I'm a browser-hoarder lol). Terra does seem fast, very nice. I'd like to be able to set a homepage & have a bookmark bar but for fast loading of sites it's really nice! I can't believe it's free-what a grate deal :)

I've been getting a "server not found" message a lot today. Though I'm not sure why. It seems to come up randomly and it doesn't affect the browser experience. So why? Who knows. But I'm using it more today because iCab is acting up.

I notice it will reopen the tabs you had open after close last, so just "keep open" the tab you would like to have as your homepage. You probably noticed this yourself by now. :)

As for the bookmark bar, I really do not understand why people actually want that?! I feel it only takes up real estate and its quite easy to tap the "book" for a list of your personal bookmarks.

I have tried only Safari, Atomic, and this one. I definitely like this Terra browser the best of the three!

That's a good idea to keep the tab open :)
I like a bookmark bar because I put folders of bookmarks ther so I can get to them easier. I do really really like this browser. I'm glad I saw your post about it.

You can put folders in the "book" pull-down too. Just tap Edit on the right after tapping the book, then New Folder on the left.

Cannot export bookmarks?

With a few hundred bookmarks, after using terra web browser on iPad for over a year, the app now freezes every time upon startup. It brings up the google search home page and freezes for 20 seconds then crashes. Every time. Deleted the task bar icon, then rebooted the ipad, same, again. If I delete the app I will lose all my bookmarks. Any ideas on retrieving all my bookmarks?
