Terribly Slow iChat Transfer Speeds

Hey,

I've been getting terribly slow transfer speeds when trying to send files to friends over iChat. It can even take over 15mins to just send a 1mb file. Any help is much appreciated

Who is your WiFI provider. If it is a major provider like AT&T or Comcast, it could be a problem with you signal, run some tests on AirPort like SpeedTest.net and see if you are supposed to be uploading data at 1MB/15 minutes.

the download looks fine but the upload seemed a little slow? but i still should be able to send screen captures pretty painlessly no? these aren't high def captures either lol

Well, how much do the pictures you are trying to send weigh? What were the results of the speed test?

I find myself using Google's videochat from within gmail most of the time.
And I can talk to my pc friends as well.

But I agree the problem may be your isp.
