Do you reckon Tesco get the eMacs cheap as they're nearing the end of a line?

just saw the ad with James Nesbitt on the telly twice today.

Apple is mentioned by name and there are 2 instances of the logo in the ad :)

My school's art dep had an iMac G3 last time I was there (4 or 5 years ago).

Before that we had something running what was probably OS8 or OS9. We all found it crazy cool when we were 11 and we had a computer that spoke "Adobe Photoshop".

My only memories of Macs at school were

1) 1998: The Music Dept.'s OS 9 Performa thingy that everyone made say rude words and scared me 'cos I was a hardcore windows user

2) 2002: The Media Dept.'s brand spanking new OS X 10.2 eMacs

Switching occurs

3) 2003: My iBook

4) 2004: My Powerbook :D

On a seperate issue, i was working at Sainsbury's up until quite recently, and I remember last XMAS my Fresh Food's Department (Milk, Eggs, Ready Meals - basically everything perishable except fruit+veg) taking at least £1m in ONE DAY

The general consensus at uni about supermarkets is:

ASDA: Closest to uni ***
Tesco's: Cheap as chips ****
Sainsbury's: Well worth the walk *****

(Hope y'all enjoyed that)
