The Tesla app for iOS gains official support for Apple Shortcuts with its latest update, version 4.24.

The update to the Tesla app brings support for over 20 Shortcuts actions, allowing users to get quick access to many of their vehicle's functions, issue commands with Siri, create automations, and combine actions into complex workflows. For example, users can simply command Siri to lock their vehicle and set up an automation to turn on the climate control at a specific time every day under certain conditions. The full list of the Shortcuts actions that the Tesla app now supports (via Not a Tesla App) is as follows:

  • Bioweapon Defense Mode
  • Camp Mode
  • Defrost
  • Dog Mode
  • Precondition Vehicle
  • Set Seat Heater (seat position and heat level)
  • Set Temperature (choose climate temperature)
  • Vent Windows
  • Set Media Volume
  • Emissions Test
  • Close All Windows
  • Flash Lights
  • Honk Horn
  • Lock/Unlock
  • Open Frunk
  • Open/Close Charge Port
  • Open/Close Door (Model X)
  • Open/Close Rear Trunk
  • Sentry Mode
  • Set Charge Limit
  • Start/Stop Charging

Each of the actions are automatically added to the Shortcuts app so users can access them with a tap, via a widget, or a Siri command, without needing to create them. Version 4.24 of the Tesla app is available now.

Is this a typo or am I out of the loop on what a Frunk is?
Frunk = live saver

On our last road trip with 2 kids and 3 adults we were packed to the gil with luggage and the back was full. we had a carry-on size suitcase and 2 duffel bags still left... we were able to comfortably fit those in the FRUNK which stands for front trunk. known as the engine bay and hood on normal gas cars

I also use this whenever I get takeout. by sticking it in there the car cabin doesn't smell like food. My favorite part is the weird confused looks I get from older folks when they see me sticking a pizza pie under the hood LOL

Why stop there? Why not use a horse drawn carriage?
Animal cruelty?

The logistics of keeping horses fed on a long trip probably be a little easier than coordinating charging your Tesla. Horses can eat grass.

Don’t their farts produce greenhouse gasses though? And you have to clean up after them.

Please curb your horse.

Must admit have tried these over the weekend and says it has initiated but doesn't seem to actually carry it out

But still no Apple CarPlay? No thanks.

It's not happening. And it's really not needed. Tesla and other vehicles are going to end up with apps in the vehicle for the services that are needed.

CarPlay and Android auto were created because car infotainment systems sucked and still do suck from most manufactures. That is going to change with the connected and updatable car.

Such a cringey, Elon way of saying it has a fancy air filtration system
Elon is a ****ing loser, but remove him from the equation: I actually like that there’s goofy things in my car.

I share the sentiments about Elon, he’s a societal parasite and an ally/apologist for truly hateful people. That said, homeboy isn’t writing the code or assembling the frame or even designing the car. There are bright, hard working people at Tesla who do some really cool stuff, and they don’t deserve the hate that Elon does.

All that said, it’s ok to dislike Tesla, but getting mad about intense air filtering being called Bioweapon Defense Mode without being mad that a “Dynamic Island” is taking up part of your iPhone screen is hypocritical; it’s just branding, it happens as part of the process, and I’d rather it be called that than AC+ or whatever

The model s plaid might disagree.
Sure the Plaid is crazy fast, but it'll no doubt be a soulless, clinical drive if it's just a faster version of the dual motor S, which is how I felt when I had a shot of one a few years back.

Telsa make cool cars, and electric cars are great in their own ways too, but personally I just like the whole pomp and circumstance around my V8 that just can't be replicated with an electric car.

Is one of those shortcuts 'dont catch fire' ? What about 'dont crash into pedestrians' ?
I’m so sick of these ******** comments. Go audit a community college course on media literacy please.

The percentage of Teslas being involved in accidents compared to how many are on the road is lower than average cars. Teslas are “recalled” over things patched with free software updates. Are you just as upset at the 232k Nissans that were just recalled because their steering wheels will literally decouple from the car?
