Yeah, I agree.I own a Tesla. The UI is garbage.

It is about Tesla... I don't have any jealousy? Just no desire to buy one or any car that does not support Apple CarPlay. I'd be lost without it.This article isn't about CarPlay, yet you felt the need to make an unrelated jealousy-fueled post about it? Kinda cringe bro.

I call them trombones. When they get upset, I call them sad trombones."Pomp and circumstance" is the perfect way to put it as internal combustion engines are for people who like their cars like marching bands: loud and slow.
How much time have you spent behind the wheel of a Tesla, actually using the navigation system? It is about Tesla... I don't have any jealousy? Just no desire to buy one or any car that does not support Apple CarPlay. I'd be lost without it.
That‘s where the supercharger network beats every other charging network, hands down.Along the I-95 corridor, sure. Getting from Florida to Maine is not an issue.
There are a lot of people who don't live in the world you inhabit. It's a big country. In a majority of it, EV infrastructure sucks.
I didn't drive a Plaid, it was a P100D which was the fastest one at the time. What did you think when you drove the Plaid?

If an EV works for you, that's great. I'm glad you're happy with it. There are all kinds of arguments over the environmental impact of EVs (Mining rare earth metals, electrical generation, wear and tear on roads and tires due to EV weight) vs gas powered vehicles.
But it's not for everyone everywhere yet. Not by a long shot.
I don't do that with my car I'm afraid, I enjoy driving it almost exclusively for the genuine pleasure of driving it.No worries, us electric drivers still appreciate last generation cars; you guys always give me a little boost when you want to try to outrun me at the light and I leave you in the dust 😂
I'm not the OP but I had a Model 3 for 4.5 years and sold it back in May. I liked the nav system but have been using a Volvo with AAOS for the past few months and really like the Google Maps integration. Traffic updates seem to be a lot faster with Google Maps. And if you use Google Maps to plan out trips, there's no need to share the waypoints and replan the trip in the car, it all automatically syncs over to the car. The same is true when using CarPlay and a Mac or iPhone. How much time have you spent behind the wheel of a Tesla, actually using the navigation system?
My car is pretty factory spec, and I'm definitely not an ass who would seek to disrupt or otherwise be inconsiderate to neighbours or other road users. Within my estate, all neighbours I've met have been highly complimentary of my car.Pomp and circumstance? You mean annoying your neighbors while everyone around you on the road rolls their eyes?
Don’t think you know what pomp and circumstance means. Either way, precisely nobody is impressed with V8s anymore; it’s not 2004. A V8 motor is retro tech.
The supercharger network I think was what sealed the deal, as it removes a hell of a lot of anxiety from day to day planning, let alone cross country or planning a trip to Europe.
so couple of minutes on your phone while sitting on your couch vs couple minutes sitting in your car? either way you spend the same amount of time planning your trip.I'm not the OP but I had a Model 3 for 4.5 years and sold it back in May. I've found that integration to be a big win over proprietary systems. You can do all the planning at home and then get in the car and drive away.
you can schedule a appointment with tesla center, that looks outside of tesla's accepted tolerance and will be covered by warranty.View attachment 2248672
I wonder if there's an iOS Shortcut to make the panel gaps not look like a 1950s car from the Eastern Bloc
👻
I like Teslas, but Apple CarPlay would REALLY improve the experience. Navigating Tesla's interface is distracting (especially while driving) where CarPlay is super easy to read and navigate. They would probably never have add CarPlay, but it would really make the difference for me in buying a TeslaBut still no Apple CarPlay? No thanks.
Probably the same time, but I'd rather do it beforehand, especially if you're wrangling kids into the backseat, packing luggage, checking things off like "did you remember to...", etc.so couple of minutes on your phone while sitting on your couch vs couple minutes sitting in your car? either way you spend the same amount of time planning your trip.

On a long trip with multiple charging stops, this is harder to preplan but with AA/CP at least your waypoints are already in the system. Plus with AA/CP ABRP is available though obviously that's less needed with the Supercharger network.
Front tRUNK = FRUNKIs this a typo or am I out of the loop on what a Frunk is?
I'll look for you in my rear view mirror of my Tesla Model 3 Performance 2018Can see those being quite fun to play with, but I still have no desire to own a Tesla. 😂 Until such a time I'm pretty much forced to buy electric, I'll stick with my V8.
in fact, my model y actually weight LESS than a mercedes gle or a bmw x5.
