I'm having issues with the passive bluetooth door unlock since I upgraded to a new iPhone 15 Pro. It seems to drop out after about 30 minutes and fails to work consistently. The manual unlock with the app works fine as does the card. Only started happening since I got my new phone. I've set it up twice now. Any other tips? (thinking of deleting and re-installing the app). This is on 2023.26.9, 2022 Model 3.

How did you upgrade to your iPhone 15 Pro? Have you confirmed that your Tesla App is set for Background App Refresh in your iPhone 15 Pro Setting?

I had issues when I set up the 14 last year. Delete app and reinstall should fix it.

My wife's MY is not connecting to her new iPhone 15 pro. We got the phone on Friday but she didn't drive her car until this morning. She needed me to bring her Tesla card so she could drive home. The Tesla app shows her car and will connect via bluetooth, but it does not recognize her phone when attempting to create a new key. Her car still shows up normally on my iPhone 14 Max. Deleted and reinstalled the app on her phone but it didn't work. Background bluetooth is on and we restarted her car 2x. Nothing has changed except the new phone.

I am not having any issues with my 15 Pro Max and my Model Y. I restored from an iCloud backup and needed to setup the phone key again.

Did you restore from a backup? I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the app and setting up the phone key again.

Sometimes the doors won't unlock though if I have my phone in a back pocket or bag because the signal can be blocked by your body.

I’m not having any issues here. I did a phone to phone transfer to my 15 PM and re-paired the phone key from the car.

I did the Quick transfer thing from my 14 Pro max to 15 Pro Max - phone to phone via WiFi in the Apple Store. All the settings are correct for background refresh, location services etc. I'll try a re-install if it happens again.

I also did direct phone to phone at the Apple Store because iCloud backup would not work. Just for a data point about where it might have come from.

I think you need to re-pair it. Go to profile and under it make sure her new iphone has the little human icon next to it, that's how the car knows need to link to that particular phone.

We were able to figure it out and of course it was simple. She has her own Tesla login but her car us under mine as I ordered it through my phone/account. New phone chose her account which didn't work, but it worked using my username and pw.

I had the same issue linking 15PM to my Volvo. I don’t remember having this same issue going from 13PM to 14PM. Took longer than usual honestly. Everything working now.
