I don't see the point in wireless backup battery chargers. You are introducing so many inefficiencies. Charging from one battery to another is already inefficient enough. Adding wireless charging, another inefficient technology, into the mix just makes it worse. You already have a limited amount of power in the backup battery, why waste it through wireless charging?

Why would a company that is trying to be “green” sell a wireless charger with likely abysmal efficiency?

Another fail from Tesla.

I have a LOT of Apple products I really like them. But not as much as the one product I own from Tesla. A model 3. Until you have actually owned or even driven a Tesla...****

I think you are taking corporate merchandises too seriously. This charger isn’t even an accessory for the car.

Come to think of it, Tesla Model S, X, and 3 are badly in need of integrated Qi charger.

Mophie batteries are priced similarly aren’t they?
Actually Mophie is more expensive. The lightning connector 6000mah is $80, the one with Qi charging is $100. Of course these include the Apple lightning connector tax.

Shows iPhone X on the website, doesn't come with a lightning port for the wired option. Tempted, with my income it will be the only Tesla product I ever own. But I already have a portable battery.
