Generally, I cannot imagine that Apple would release a brand-new flagship product, risking a GPU-gate by selling a non-capable base version.
On the other hand, it is hard to believe that Apple is putting an OS on the market without testing the performance of standard UI features like preview or Mission Control.
So anybody ever thought about the possibility of this Mission control Lag being an intended bug to make people buy a higher spec'ed version of the riMac, just to be on the safe side?
Especially in the pre x-mas period (considering shipping time, you might want to order the new imac already today to make sure it arrives before christmas), this would be an additional boost in revenue.
In a couple of weeks, this will be fixed and nobody will ever again talk about it, so there would not even be a damage to the product reputation.
