Hello there

I wanted to create a new user on my Mac mini M1 on Sequoia. I managed to create it but on the TEST user, I inherited all the apps from admin. Is it possible to have a clean, empty user?

You sure you did not set the user as admin? I have made lots of test accounts with no issues

Generally, apps installed into the Applications folder are going to be available to any user on the computer. This is normal and expected behavior. What is separated are application settings, preferences, and data, all of which are specific to a given user.

Looks like the only way is to create a new partition.
Other users don't have to be an administrator to see and use applications in the /Applications folder. Even if you make a new partition (creating a volume rather than a partition for APFS disks is likely preferable, btw) it will still be possible to use some apps on the original disk.
What is your end goal with this? That information might lead to a more effective solution for you.

I’m in touch with a dev who developed a solution to create easily a webDAV server, which I use to stream my movies & shows on Infuse (I found out it is better than SMB by a huge margin). Unfortunately, we found a bug. He tried several fixes but none worked. He couldn’t share the older version but luckily I installed it on a different machine and I could retrieve it. Once I put the old version, everything went back to normal. I am scared if I try the newest fix, I won’t be able to revert back to the old version.
