There is a windows program I use called Lan Speed Test that does a great job of testing the speed your LAN by doing a calibrated file transfer to any open share on a network. I recently just configured gigabit wiring in my house and would like to test that all the ports can achieve giga speed to my NAS (Netgear ReadyNAS) but can't seem to find a good Mac based tool for the job. I tried using my Win 7 VM in fusion, but I'm only getting ~78Mbps which is less than 10MB/s for file transfers which is not at all good. I'm not sure if it is a limitation of Fusion's virtual network adapter, or truly bad performance. I'd like to run the test natively on my MacBookPro but can't find software to do the test. Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Chris
