testing mobile me

I tried to send my phone a message via the mobile me site. The map locates my iphone no problem. When I send a message it tells me "message pending" My iphone never received the message. Same goes for when I try to lock the phone via mobile me. It says lock pending. Never actually locks the phone. What good is this!?
