Testing the hard drive

How can I test my internal and external hard drive for bad sectors??? Is there a program I need? Thanks.

You can use the disk utility and do verify disk.. that will give you a general idea if everything is alright or not. But to test for specifically bad sectors, you will need a third-party program -- try google.

I tried google. Looks like there's something called Drive Genius. Maybe I'll try that.
