I just went back and reread the article from idownloadblog. There is nothing in there to indicate that you can't connect to your iPad.

Watch the video, it shows how to set it up. Obviously you can't set an ad-hoc network up on an iPad.

It's a non issue now. Apple just emailed me telling me that they will be issuing me a refund

Hopefully next time you won't waste their time and yours asking for a refund and you'll thorough read how an app works.

I'm not going to do that. If I'm spending $50 on an app like I did for the Garmin app a few years ago or $30 for the slingplayer app I will do research. I even researched iBlacklist which I think was like $15 and did the free trial of intelliscreen X.

I'm not going to spend time doing research on a $1.95 app.

But you're going to complain and demand a refund? I'm confused.
 
I paid/downloaded it. $2 to tether.. Not bad. Too bad it won't work with iPad or iPod. Oh well.

Would be nice if a MyWi type app managed to slipped through.
